Thank you for your interest in the Cosmetology program. In order to apply you must:
- be a high school senior
- plan to attend at least a 2-period block
- attend a parent and student meeting prior to applying
  - mandatory parent & student meeting this spring (April 10th or 24th at 6:30 pm). Parent meeting participation is required for students to be considered for enrollment in the fall of 2024. The meeting will be available through Zoom or in person at the Brigham Campus in the conference room.

Application Due Date: April 27, 2024 Submissions must be received prior to midnight, April 27th.

Applications received after the due date will be considered until August 12th for all seats not previously filled. A third parent and student meeting will be held August 7th at 6:30.

To become a licensed cosmetologist in the state of Utah, you will neet to apply for licensure with the Utah Division of Professional Licensing. Minors are not subjected to background checks, however, be advised that anyone who has been convicted of a felony or any drug-related charges; has been involved as the abuser in any incident of verbal, physical, mental, or sexual abuse; or may pose a threat to themselves, clients, or to the public health, safety, or welfare because of any circumstances or conditions, should determine their eligibility status with the Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing. The Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing makes the final decision on the issue of a license to practice in the State of Utah.
REFERENCES

List the names of the two professional people who will be completing your Reference Evaluation forms. References must be people who are now or who have been your employer, high school counselor, teacher, or community leader. They must have known you for at least six months and cannot be related to you. Two reference forms are required for your application to be considered. After the reference section has been filled out, a hyperlink to your selected references will be sent via email. Please make sure to inform references that they will be contacted by a representative at Bridgerland Technical College via email or text. Reference Evaluations must be submitted no later than SEVEN DAYS after application deadline.
