  • This agreement establishes a contract between you and Bridgerland Technical College (BTECH) for the educational training in which you are enrolling.

    CERTIFICATE SEEKING STUDENTS

Students must maintain adequate progress, in both credits and time, toward graduation. A monthly progression rate that will allow the student to graduate within 100 percent of the published program length is expected. Students whose progress exceeds 1.5 times (time and a half) the program length or exceed the defined course exit date are subject to academic sanctions. Program competence is evaluated through assessment scores, projects, demonstrations, etc. All courses are assigned a final grade (A-F) and will be reported in the student information system. The collegiate-wide minimum competency standard for final course grades is 80%.

An estimated equalized payment plan has been established for your convenience. This plan represents a contract equal to the total estimated cost to enroll in and complete your chosen certificate/credential. The amount is based on an estimated total cost for tuition and fees for the chosen credential and does not include the cost of any textbooks or other educational supplies or materials.

This estimate and payment plan is designed to distribute the cost of enrollment (tuition and fees) in your chosen credential over the approximate length of time it will take to complete the program so equal monthly payments can be made. I understand and agree actual charges for all tuition and fees will be charged to my student account and these payment plan payments, along with any extra payment amounts or financial aid disbursements (if any) will be credited to my student account. I further understand each course within a program has an associated credit value and BTECH primarily utilizes a competency-based system where students can progress at varied rates not to exceed 150% or defined course exit dates. I understand and agree upon completion of the credential or upon withdrawal from BTECH, any unpaid balance in my student account will become due and payable immediately. I further understand and agree at the time of completion or withdrawal, any credit balance in my account, net of any other amounts owed to BTECH for any reason, will be refunded to me within 45 days.

The first estimated equalized payment is due at the time of initial enrollment with each subsequent payment being due by the 10th day of each month thereafter. may be placed on academic hold if payments are not made by the 10th of each month.

    Certificate Seeking Refund Policy:

Students enrolling in programs where tuition and fees have been collected before the first day of class will receive a refund as follows: a) if the student withdraws on or before the 10th calendar day beginning with their official entry date into the program, the student will receive a 100 percent refund or b) if the student chooses to withdraw after the 10th calendar day beginning with their official entry date into the program, no refund will be granted. By submitting this agreement, I agree to the Certificate Seeking Refund Policy.

    CONTINUING EDUCATION STUDENTS

Students registering for Continuing Education Foundation or Innovation Foundation courses online or in person. These courses are offered on a self-sustaining basis (the cost of providing the course is covered through user charges); therefore, senior citizens, veterans, college employees/family members, secondary students, etc., are subject to the published charge for the respective course. To register for Continuing Education Foundation or Innovation Foundation courses, a student will complete the admissions/registration form, choose course(s), complete online registration (courses are subject to capacity limitations, and students will be registered on a first-come, first-served basis), and pay all course charges at the time of registration.

    Continuing Education Refund Policy:

Individuals are responsible for canceling their registration should they not be able to attend. Refunds

will not be issued for non-attendance. Cancellations received before the first day of class will receive

a 100% refund. No refunds, in whole or in part, will be given on or after the first day of class. By submitting this agreement, or agreeing to the “Terms and Conditions” on my registration form, I agree to the Continuing Education Refund Policy.

    ALL STUDENTS

By submitting this form, you agree to be bound by these terms. Additionally, you verify that, as the registered student, you are the one who will participate in, complete the course, and receive the academic credit.

    CONSENT, COMMUNICATION, AND DISCLOSURE

You hereby expressly waive any claim for third-party disclosure that could arise out of your use of emailing with Bridgerland Technical College. By agreeing to these Terms and Conditions, you expressly consent to two-way communication by phone, letter, texting, and/or email between you and Bridgerland Technical College regarding any debt obligation. Upon completion or withdrawal from BTECH, any balance due becomes due and payable immediately. Finance charges on any unpaid balance will begin at the end of the month following completion or withdrawal at an annual rate of 21%. Finance charges may be deleted from the principle balance if payments are made on a monthly basis and/or paid in full within four months. I understand and agree that if I default on my account and this agreement, the full outstanding balance, along with finance charges, will be submitted to the State of Utah Debt Collections Office. This action could have

an adverse impact on credit ratings.

This agreement is valid for the duration of my enrollment(s) and/or Continuing Education Registration(s) at Bridgerland Technical College.
